Brief Profile of the Directors and the Secretary.

Dr Chris W Obura- Chairman

Dr Obura is a retired dentist and also a holder of a Bachelors degree from Makerere University and an MSC from the University of London. He is the Chairman of Olympia Capital Holdings Limited. He is also the Chairman of Express Kenya limited which is also listed on the Nairobi Stock Exchange and also a director in other unlisted companies including Lion of Kenya Insurance Company, Howrse and Mc George Limited and Nairobi Hospital Association.

Mr. Michael M. Matu – Deputy Chairman

Mr. Michael Matu has a Bachelor of Arts in Management and Economics from the University of Guelph, a Graduate Diploma in Applied management from McGill University Canada and an MBA from the United States International University Nairobi. In addition he has attended several professional courses including Strategy in action and Advanced Management Program both from Strathmore University. He is the Deputy Chairman of Olympia Capital Holdings Limited, Director of Heri Limited, Dunlop Properties Limited, Avon Rubber Company Kenya Limited, Kalahari Floor Tiles- Botswana, Gaborone Enterprises- Botswana, Taboo 179 ( Pty) Limited - South Africa, Tiespro 171 (Pty) Limited - South Africa.

Mr. Kenneth Kareithi - Chief Executive Officer

Kenneth has a wealth of diverse experience in sales, distributor management and marketing having worked for over fifteen years in both multinational and regional companies starting with BAT Kenya then Nation Media Group, UUNET/MTN Business Kenya and recently EABL where he was the Marketing Manager in charge of Tusker and Partner Brands. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Administration as well as an MBA from USIU-Africa not to mention several professional and managerial courses over his working career.

Mr. Suresh A. Lakhani - Non Executive Director

Mr. Lakhani is a lawyer who holds a bachelor of law degree from London School of Economics and a Masters in Administration Degree (MBA) from Cornell University, United States of America. He is the Managing Director of Mineral Mining Corporation in Nairobi and a director of Campus Towers limited. He is a non executive director of Olympia Capital Holdings Limited and represents OCHL in the board of OCC.

Mr. John P.N Simba - Non Executive Director

 Mr. Simba is a lawyer who holds a Bachelor of law degree from the University of Dar el salaam and is a member of the Law Society of Kenya. Professional courses attended include financial management - University of Sussex (Uk) and Legal Investment Course- University of George Town Washington, DC, United States. Mr. Simba is a senior partner at Simba and Simba advocates and also the chairman of the board of the following organisations: Pan African Insurance Holdings, APA Insurance Co, Kisii Bottlers and the University of Nairobi University Council. In addition he is a director of Funguo Investments Limited, Rift Valley Bottlers Limited and Beverage and services limited. Mr. Simba is a non executive director at OCHL.

Mr. Paul W. Ndungu - Non Executive Director

Mr. Paul Ndungu is a certified accountant who also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The United States University Africa, Nairobi. Currently he is the group Managing director of Glory Forex Bureau Limited, The Village market Forex Bureau Limited and Taipan Forex Bureau Limited. In addition, he is the Chairman of Mobicom Kenya Limited, Taipan Properties Limited, Newman Pharmaceuticals Limited, Rift valley Science Limited and Mobicom Investments Limited. Other Directorships include, Safari Ting Ting. Mobicom Connections, Swift International Limited and CMC Holdings. Mr. Ndungu is a Non Executive director at OCHL.

Mr. Vincent Opanga- Non Executive Director       

Mr. Opanga is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, K) with extensive experience in financial and operational management. He is currently the Managing Director of Kisii Bottlers. Prior, to his appointment at Kisii Bottlers, he was the manager in charge of special projects at ICDC. Mr. Opanga is a non executive Director at OCHL.

David Kabeberi - Director

David, 51, is a Partner at PKF Kenya and a director of PKF Consulting Ltd. He started his career as a trainee with Murdoch, McCrae & Smith/ Touche Ross International in 1980 and quickly rose to become one of the youngest partners in the profession in 1988. As a partner at MM&S, and later at Deloitte & Touche and Githongo & Co. and at PKF, he has acquired valuable experience while serving as auditor, accountant, financial and tax advisor, secretary and receiver/manager to a wide variety of businesses and organizations.

He has been involved in corporate mergers and acquisitions, public and private share issues and placements, business and strategic planning and management, structuring and obtaining finance, financial forecasting, business reviews, corporate recovery investigations, corporate taxation and statutory affairs. David has also served as a secretary, director and strategic executive to a number of companies in business and development.

At various points, he has served on boards of Haco Industries Limited, Kenya Management Assistance Program, Association of Professional Societies in East Africa, The Professional Center, Health Management Solutions Ltd, Alliance Group, City Finance Bank Ltd and several others.

He also serves on the Boards of the Palmhouse Foundation and the Kenya Children’s Homes (Thomas Barnado Children’s Home and the Jonathan Gloag Academy).

Lina Kantaria (Company Secretary)

Ms. Kantaria is Certified Secretary by Profession and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Bombay, India, Chartered Secretary qualification from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administration, UK.

Currently, Ms. Kantaria is a sole partner of Commercial Registrars and company secretary to Olympia Capital Holdings Limited. She previously worked as the company secretary for Ashwin Brothers Public Accountants and Accountant with Inamdar & Company. She is a former member of Codes and Ethics Committee and Corporate Governance of the Institute of Public Secretaries of Kenya.
